How we’ll work together

You agree to:

• Provide clear briefs, assets and responses on time.
• Nominate one decision-maker (if applicable) to collect and share feedback.
• Stick to the agreed payment schedule.

I agree to:

• Deliver professional work on schedule (assuming timely inputs).
• Keep your information confidential.
• Communicate openly about any issues or delays.

Scope + quote

• The proposal reflects the scope agreed before the detailed brief is approved.
• Changes to scope or direction will be requoted.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue.

Timelines + pauses

• If inputs are late, deadlines move accordingly.
• Projects paused for more than 14 days may lose their slot and may incur a restart fee.
• I reserve the right to use AI tools to support and speed up my workflow, while ensuring the final copy meets professional and ethical standards.

Feedback + revisions

• You’ll receive a complete first draft.
• Two revision rounds are included.
• Feedback is requested within 14 days of each draft. Silence is treated as approval and the final invoice will be issued.
• Revisions cover editing and refinement against the agreed brief – not new pages, messaging pivots or major strategy shifts (which count as scope changes).

Copyright + portfolio use

• Copyright transfers to you once full and final payment is received.
• You confirm you have rights to any material or content you supply.
• I may showcase non-confidential excerpts of the work in my portfolio or marketing unless you object in writing before the project begins.

Results + SEO

• While I write to best practice, I can’t guarantee specific outcomes such as rankings, sales or conversions. Many factors sit outside the copy itself.

Fees + payment

• Payment terms: Seven days from invoice (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
• Late payments may attract interest and recovery costs in line with UK Late Payment legislation (Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998).

Cancellations

• Deposits are non-refundable.
• If you cancel part-way through, I’ll invoice for work completed to date.
• If I need to cancel, I’ll refund any unearned fees and hand over work done to that point.

Rush work

• Projects needed within five business days of booking or brief approval may attract a 25% rush fee.

Confidentiality + data

• I’ll handle your information responsibly and in accordance with UK GDPR. Drafts and project files shouldn’t be shared publicly before sign-off.

Liability

• I’m not liable for indirect or consequential loss (e.g. loss of income or profit). Liability is limited to the total fees paid for the project in question.

Governing law

• These terms are governed by Scottish law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
